Finished the frame for the camper annexe to car so won't need to carry shit loads of poles , tested it out and it works well enough for me but will only be used if it's raining .

Frame folds down as in photo but is bolted onto the roof rack , it is held by a grip belt and heavy duty occy strap .
Once these are off the two arms pivot up and I put the spigot piece I made up in either end and pull down .
The brace has holes each end and is just a gal adjustable pole with a hole each end .
One end goes in the hook under the spigot the other end attaches to an eye fixed onto the solar panel holding frame , I just put a big screwdriver though this then adjust the tension I need to pull the canvas tight , may put a occy over the spigot to hold canvas if windy .
I've worked out that GQ needs to be between 2.300 - 2.400 metres from camper side , but ideal is 2.300 ish , it's not that hard to do I have done a few trials and got it every time once I knew what distance works best .
If you want I can take some better photos of the bolted ends and brace connection points .

Just ripped out a vacuum solenoid cluster bracket. Wasn't doing anything any more and was taking up valuable under bonnet real estate .

Have some photos of when I first hooked it up and when I moved the GQ a bit further away they are not great but might be what you're after .

Didn't take a photo from the other side unfortunately, but the next photo I get will be while we are away for 8 weeks although hoping the weather stays fine .
