Koni 82 series shocker nut size
Would anyone know what size and thread pitch the 82 series hydraulic Koni's are? I want a couple of spares, was under the car this morning hiding from the wife and found one of the lower nuts finger loose. Its now tightened and gummed up with a blob of silastic, however a couple in reserve would be good insurance.

Decent thread pitch gauges Philstar Mate have been one of the handiest little contraptions I’ve personally ever bought for the rusty gold crap I hoard around the block
Pretty sure my Koni 90’s on the GU ute are Nyloc nuts, worth upgrading to instead of goo?

Thanks Mark, being lazy, cant find the thread gauges, have 3 of the damn things. I will take a nut off and head down to the nut and bolt bar on monday , they can sort it out, and bingo, solution in hand. regards nylocs, yeah good idea, if they are avail in the size i might go that way. The 82's didn't come out with them however.

Surprised you're running 82's in the beast mate. You really need the 90's, they are unbelievable!
(if they fit GQ not sure)

You would have thought a specialist nut and bolt supplier would have stocked them, but they didn't and said they were not made - took 5 minutes on the net to find some, it is what it is, sorted now, maybe he was too hot and bothered to look but it was 9am!

The '82s run fine, but they are on setting 2 and they have been overhauled. I also run dual front units, and handling is fine for my driving. I am stopping this change out for the sake of spending some more on the barge - gotta build another house, so no more - until tomorrow and something else comes along!.

Yeah they're probably better suited to outback touring than high country touring. They are astounding in the outback where it's not uncommon to find yourself in 30, 40, 50kmh repititive undulations that match the spring rate and actually "double bounce" the vehicle. The 90's just pull everything back under control and you can actually feel them doing it.
Doubles 82s' in the front tho......noice!
