You might want to have a look at the BOSS airbags. Tney are fitted between the diff housing and the chassis rail. They take the load and transfer it directly into the chassis rail with no offset component, as you have with the coil and coil seat. I have the triple bags installed and they work a treat. I originally had the 'in coil' firestone airbags installed until I woke up to the fact i was masking the load issues and the stresses were really going straight back into the coil tower.

I would recommend the coil tower supports as well as the airbags for a bullet proof solution, strength and ability to load share and also level the vehicle up.

I've not looked into airbags much at all and I'm guessing they must, but do they extend & compress when you're flexing or do they just inflate into a size and stay at the size but bounce around within some type of holding thing?????

OK, the BOSS airbags are a rubber bellows. They are secured top and bottom with clmps and as you inflate them they lift the vehicle, thus taking load off the coils. It is entirely possible to do a stupid thing, like did and inflate them to 70psi and marvel at the lift, however the rear of the vehicle was wobbling around like it was on jelly. The airbags did not extend beyond the free length of he coil, however after 100m and a round about I drove back home and dropped the pressures down to around 30psi and this sat the vehicle level, when relatively empty, for me. When I do load it up for a trip I end up with about 40psi in them to get the nose pointing very slightly downward.


Off road I drop the pressure a little bit to soften he ride, however still use the added pressure to ensure I retain bumper clearances. The higher the pressure the firmer the ride, and within limits(not like my 70psi) the vehicle tends to not wallow as much. There is no spongy or bouncy feel about it, its simply a compressible helper to carry the load.

Do a web search on BOSS airbags, I have the triple donuts on mine and a manual air regulation - you can get on board compressors and push buttons o allow trimming on the fly, which can be an advantage, I just never went that way.

Usually there is a section for vendors. In all honesty, if you can't take the time to introduce yourself and actually set up a vendor thread, with stuff for patrols, that is not just cheap crap. You're wasting your time here
