The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Patrol God
Hey Menis. My 4.2 was tuned there twice. First run I don't know what gear they were in. But the second dyno months later after my intercooler was fitted, the run was 200% done in 4th as I was there watching it...
I have no clue why their read outs are set to point to a 3rd gear run ... and I always forget to ask everytime I'm there.
The Dieseltec dyno seems to be much more comprehensive though.

I tend to find JPC's dyno quite modest to be honest with you as I have always found there figures are quite low compared to other dynos
I have seen most probably at least 30 cars in my time on their dyno and I'm almost certain they tend to pull a 4th gear run as hodgy was saying...
Not long ago I was there watching a blokes vl turbo get tunes which pumped out 563rwkw ... that night of the tune he was invited to a dyno day at another performance shop as a promotion and they heard he had 560+rwkw and had asked him to out his car on the rollers.
He was a little reluctant at first but fell to peer pressure...
So with everyone standing around talking about this particular rig word around the vehicle was getting around that the thing makes 560+rwkw...
When the guy ran the car up he managed to pull a staggering 607rwkw
As you can imagine the owner of the vehicle ran up to the bloke and started yelling profanities at the dyno bloke saying to him wtf are you doing what did you touch in my car???
The guy swore he did nothing but run it on the rollers and showed him there's no computer hooked up...
Sad thing was given it was his businesses dyno night it soon made everyone realise he has a "happy" dyno...
I AM currently getting my barra turbo engine conversion done at JPC and we are expecting around 400rwkw
I will be sure to keep you guys posted how I go when it's done.
Hope you're all well
