Wanted to buy..... AM/SSB CB radio

I threw out a small fortune of AM stuff... just part of the pile of crap I will never get around to and could not be stuffed listing it.

Still have huge lengths of cable that is about 10-15mm thick for those bloody big AM masts.

I have kept one AM radio just in case a few mates do install so we can talk smack about someone without fear of being listened to.

I still have two AM sets which give me up to eight ks range from my place, which is in a small valley. Do you still have the SWR meter to install your antenna, BA?

Jay car sell SWR meters we just snipped the top of antenna, pushed the mike to see signal strength
if no good snip a bit more off till signal needle went all the way lol

Even without the Handset you should get $ from people like Rossco.

Nah, seriously, I would stick it on Gumtree for... uuummm... $200 or offers and see if you get any interest
In good nick and working they sell for 300 to 400 dollars but you have to wait for the right buyer.

They were top of the Wozza in their day, as good or better than Codan etc and are still in use as portable HF sets in the SES.

Was just going through some junk in the shed and tossing it, came across the QMAC HF90 still sitting there and though bin it or look it up and see if they sell for anything

I’ve got an old Pearce Simpson super cheetah wood face - same as that pic , been juiced up & a power mic - used to have it in all my interstate trucks I drove it was grouse 👍🏻 but now 99% of trucks don’t even have an 27mhz set 😔 also got a few Cobra sets - all chrome & flash looking sitting in the shed 👍🏻
