    Engine losing power

    Gday
I was wondering if you knowledgable people out there could help me
my nephew recently bought a 2007 patrol traytop
at around 100 k's it sometimes just loses power and when he lifts his foot and puts it back down on the accelerator
it acts as if nothing happened and cruises on ok.
would anybody have had this problem and what did you do to rectify it
all advice greatly welcomed i forgot it is a 3.0 crd manual
    cheers

    Engine losing power

TPS throttle position sensor was a common issue with these. Pretty sure there was a recall.
Mine used to do similar thing till it was replaced

You could spray some contact cleaner in it to see if it helps

My truck did something similar. Second cousin came to see me one day.
He demanded I disconnect the battery power and leave it for couple of hours while we were boozing on Guinness.
I hopped on to the truck and went for a drive around the town. The problem was gone.
I'm not rude. I just hate bullshitters

Sorry it so long to get back to the guys who answered
we changed the MAF sensor out no change
We changed the throttle sensor out no change
we then hooked up a EDS and started going for long drives and it did the same thing and the readout on the eds told us the fuel pressure regulator failed so ordered a new one and hope all is good
    cheers
