Installed step-up transformer to drive the LED lightbars at 28V, rated at 40a - turned it on and burnt the retinas out of my eyeballs - very very bright! No, I don't have before and after shots, but turned on with 28V in half bright sunlight the garage insides simply washed out to white. Will see how they last and what effect they have on other road users or when using in the bush - probably overkill. in close quarters.

Felt a bit of "chatter" in the steering directly after having a wheel alignment. I adjusted the steering box grub screw and all is well. Strange that it needed doing though.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

This one is 30A, but you can get another for 40a, which I did. Simple to wire, just need to find somewhere to fit it - IP68, so a dunking won't hurt it. It does 'buzz though' but you can only hear that with the bonnet up.

GQTD, do you have any details on the cooling fan you have used? I have installed a temperature controlled unit directly above the engel that turns on when the air temp gets to 36Deg and off at 30 - its fully automatic but a bit bulky - have tried a number of the 'computer style' cooling fans but they don't last - yours looks a lot heavy duty than the ones I have used.

I used a small computer style fan that blows air on the motor everytime it cycles.
very cheap and easy as ti fit and wire, Huge bang for buck outcome imo
