    Bird dropping protective paint coating

Bird droppings are eating thru my brand new paint job on the GQ. The paint is acrylic charcoal with a number of coats, 4 colour and 4 clear, in a combination of colour/clear/colour/clear etc.
Can anyone recommend a really good protective coating to stop the etching of the acidic clearcoat? I would prefer a spray on system as opposed a hand wax, rub off one, simply a lot of surface area to go over. I have applied a spray on coating to the body, however the shed starlings are bombing the canopy like its sport.

Have you thought of ceramic coating Phil? Not cheap but the grandson swears by it (he works in the auto restoration business).
My family have it on a couple of their hot rods and I was impressed after their recent trip up to the Summer Nats. They were spotless compared to the other cars in their convoy.
    Cheers

Thanks Jack, just off the phone to my local AutoBarn store. They recommend a 'Mothers' Brand Ceramic coating, spray on, microfibre spread wipe. For added protection multiple coats can be applied. I am going to pick up a couple of bottles today, on special at the moment, normally $70 for 750ml, now $49.

Hi Phil, I use Bead Machine and Happy Ending, both by Bowdens on our car. I believe it's a much higher level of protection than you would get from Mothers. Bead machine requires application twice a year and happy ending every other wash

Bugger Chris, just bought two bottles of Mother's. Anyway I will see how this performs. Keen to get in onto the canopy before the solar panels and the little buggers drp their next load.
