I forgot that it was on this afternoon. Walked in after the boys soccer and football games and watched the last 10 laps. Looked like a good race.

So our 12 month ordeal with the plumbing issue still hasnt been resolved. Our last visit from the plumber we came to the conclusion the he will need access to the storm water easement which is under and behind the mass of bushes in the pic below. Rather than digging a trench right across the driveway to where the stormwater pipe is 100% blocked leading to the access pit.
Pic below is looking down at said bush from the balcony. You can see that I had a crack at it but bloody hell, what a mess of a job.

We got quotes to remove the bush which is 3 meters deep and about 15 meters in length. But we only need to remove about 6 of it for the plumber to access. Quotes got to $1350!!!
So we decide to do it ourselves.
Two days later.
We are done, and I cut down a dead tree covered in vine on the corner of the fence line too! More firewood! Bloody amazing how much space we have gained here.
Those cracks you can see in the bitumen were totally covered over by the bush.

Absolutely stoked with our efforts this weekend! Now we just have to get rid of all the bush we removed. I got three green waste tickets from the council, hopefully these will be enough.
So now we can finally book the plumber in to do his work. With any luck he fixes this hell of a nightmare for once and for all!

It was a great race too, brilliant overtaking moves by Ricciardo to get to the front.

Yeah I know Nic... I am appreciative of your previous offer of help, but this just happened so quick as we weren't expecting to dig up here for the plumber. I may call on you for the other half of this though...
