    Grind and Clunk sound

Hi I have a 1998 GU patrol 45ltr, when i start driving in the morning after a few minutes i hear a brief grinding followed by a one off clunk coming from underneath then it doesnt happen again for the rest of the journey, does seam to affect anything and only happens again after i have left the vehicle off for a long period iE if i leave it at the station to go to work it will happen once when i start my journey home, if use the car intermittently through the day it only happens once during the initial start. any ideas?

Underneath is a big space. Can you define where abouts, front, rear, middle, left or right side etc etc

That was my first thought about it too. I found my handbrake got a little stuck if the vehicle was parked nose downhill.
