We have been in constant communication with the owner directly pre-agent and have discussed price and everything, bank is happy etc.

So now we can't go and see it (i am finding out now), and the price advertised is more than we have discussed....

Getting tired of lying shit full people, especially real estate agents.

In the grand scheme of things I am only out a few days of and a few hundred in diesel for our inspections and visits, but the principle of the matter just shits me. She knew we were heading down today to do final inspection and to make an offer on the property, we checked with her on Thursday that we were still good...and last night it went up on RE.com.

so over trying to move now....
I'd just continue on as if I hadn't seen the advert. The price has probably gone up so the vendor can cover real estate agent fees & commissions.

Noticed an unusual volt drop on my aux battery. No load on it since my last trip a month ago.
Inspected the whole system today, and found the battery has a hairline split in it. Found after I saw drops of what I initially thought was coolant under wheel arch.
I wonder if it's from the heat off the turbo as that corner of the battery was facing the turbo/exhaust side.

Good bye almost brand new full river. Just out of warranty too.

Is it bulged in the case - can't see from the photo? Bit of an odd one. The battery wasn't loose at all and bounced to crack? Stabbing in the dark a bit with that failure mode .Very odd. Have you contacted Full River?

It is very odd Phil. It's a fine hairline crack that bleeds acid when I press it in. No bulging.
The battery was definitely not loose or overtight. It had a rubber mat/padding under it and under the top clamp, and wasn't overtight or anything. It's got me stumped.

Under good light, the corner sides nearest to turbo/exhaust are more discolored than the rest of the battery. I will only speculate, heat may have had something to do with this. Who knows. Regardless, battery is stuffed.

Check the Part # with Full River site.
They make a LOT of different batteries, vehicle, standby, UPS etc and many are not rated for high temps or high charging rates.

If it is suitable for "vehicle under bonnet" use then I have found Full River very good to deal with in the past albeit that was with UPS batteries
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

This is the one I had ET.

    Max temp range is
    -40C to 71C.
I dare imagine that near the turbo/exhaust the temps would be well in excess of that.
However the battery has been there for more than 2 years and it never suffered any performance loss, until last week or so when I noticed the Varying volts.

AGM under bonnet, not recommended I believe./ Max temp on battery 71 degC - bet it gets hotter than that. I thi9nk you need a multi layer heat shield and a wet cell if you are going to persist with that location, plus keep a close eye on the liquid level.

Yes most companies won’t warrant an AGM under the bonnet, especially in a Patrol. Don’t get me wrong because there are some AGM designed that can go under bonnet but as we all know the Patrol is one of the hotter engine bays which is why we read so many threads on people trying to find ways to remove the heat such as extra bonnet scoops etc.

But I too are guilty of having an AGM under the bonnet
