Yes TD old memories. My Dad was the Shell district rep based in Moora in the 50's. There were only two reps in town, Dad for Shell and a guy called William (Billly) Walker for Mobile. Between them they looked after Shell, Neptune, Mobile, Golden Fleece, Caltex and a couple of others. Every few years the town would flood and the fuel drums from the depots would float around the town. When the water subsided, Dad and Billy would get the trucks and have a drum roundup. When they got them all in they would sit down for a couple of days and sort them all out, as all companies used silver frost drums then, with the contents and brand name stenciled on the top. Re the Neptune gear, let me think about it. In one way they are a memory of Dad but in another they are not doing anything so I may well send them somewhere where they will be appreciated and restored. I've just got to think it through.
2005 GU IV ST 3.0. Snorkel. Roof rack. Awning. Spots. Welded I/C. Dual batteries & VSR. UHF. Barn door hinge extension. Roof top spot lights. Rear drawers. 2" lift. NADS. EGT and boost gauges. Trans temp and water temp gauges. Provent 200 catch can. Rear ladder

And crawling on the planet's face, some insects called the human race. Lost in time. And lost in space... and meaning.

Stumbled across these videos of a few blokes going up to Cape York and into the NT. There was a Hilux, a 4.2 GU & a JK Jeep. Not bad videos, great scenery.

They must have done 1000s of kms. I'll give one 1 guess which vehicle has the most 'shown' mechanical mishaps, it wasn't the Hilux, that just seemed to disappear during the clips.

    That was from 2016.

Then they did another trip in 2017. Haven't watched them all yet, same vehicles plus a Ranger. Again i'll give you 1 guess which vehicle was the first to break down.

I felt sorry for the bloke.
