Pump is at the front behind timing cover.
Crd has 2 sensors.
I had a faulty drivers side sensor when I owned my crd. Light was flickering on off once in a while.
I remember bloke from Patrolapart suggesting to start at there sensor and he wasn't wrong...
$150 ish back then. 1 minute job.

From what I got told it was mainly the 07s that had that oil pump problem? My 08 had same issue for ages with the oil light on turned out just to be the sensor, these crds are pretty good usually I wouldn't be overly concerned!!!
