Had my parents, my kids and my grandkids around for dinner tonight and was a great night.
Nice steaks for dinner, drank some exceptional red wine and great whiskey but the best part was the company of my family, I consider myself very lucky to have such a great family.
got my GU back only a small thing but put a smile on my face
it was a long time coming. As stated heaps of new parts fitted.
for only220k the tensioner was U/S. new egr valve $600 replaced
full set of head bolts, IP "O" ring fitted along with a thicker head gasket
There were marks on the top of 2 pistons but think it should be ok with the thicker gasket
Just happy Im mobile again
For a Renault engine they are very complex, but as far as Nissan
are comcerned there is nothing wrong yeah right

Received the all clear from the docs to get out of the moon boot and start intensive physio / strengthening program on the ankle !! With any luck, I might even be able to swing a quick camping trip labour day weekend!
