Provent 200 Cleaning & Weird Maybe
What do you guys clean the filters in the Provent 200s with? I used petrol, then blasted it with water to try and neutralise and remaining fuei, then metho then let it dry.
Also, I was looking at the Provent spec sheet ( https://www.mann-hummel.com/fileadmi...nt_en_2013.pdf ) and the 100 & 150 have the outlet as the top connection and the inlet as the lower connection.
The 200 has the outlet as the lower connection and the inlet as the upper connection, which doesn't make sense to me, that's how I hooked mine up, but it seems counter intuitive.

Cleaning with petrol works the best I found. I then clean with hot soapy water the let it dry. I have two filters so while one is drying I can use the other. As for the outlet connection. I just have mine the way they say to do, seems to be working.

Yep, mime's all plumbed up as per the instructions. I took a look this arvo. The inlet and outlet are seperated by the filter, it's strange to have the exit down low, but yep, it seems to work.

How often do you clean the filters? I drain the oil out every service but am yet to clean the filter.

Every service I clean mine. What ever you do, don't buy those stainless washable filters being sold. They don't filter the vapours very well.

That was the first drain & clean as it's only been in about 10,000, but I'll be doing every service.
