    Hi All,

Anyone know the factory wading/fording depth of a GQtd42?

Check your manual. It will be in there. But from memory its something like 600mm or level with the centre of the wheels/hubs

    Wot he said ^^^^

630mm rings a bell from somewhere but as Pee Bee said 600 or thereabouts is close enough for me as well.
Almost positive it is the same (whatever it may actually be) for Cab Chassis and Wagons as well

I think early GU was the same but later ones are 700mm FWIW (not 100% sure on when it changed)
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

What if you got a factory fitted snorkel? Lol. Top of the windscreen is your depth. Just make sure your windows are shut.

What if the water gets in through small holes or crevices and drown you?

Not without making the vehicle air tight and fitting a second snorkel for "cabin" ventilation.
Actually, I saw a guy doing underwater river crossings after modifying a Jeep for that.
I can't find that youtube clip.
