I tried adding a reducer to a 50mm hose to connect it to my drop saw and the Carbatec didn't inflate the bag and create the proper vortex for normal operation. Suction was almost nonexistent.
I used a similar hare and forbes one and reduced it to 50 mm, it still sucked but the droning noise it made after doing this was unbearable. Did yours get noisy?

Well was in Repco today as they had 30% off so why wouldn't you hey!!

Spent a little bit shhhhh. But grabbed this little kit for $19 and can't complain, very limited use and have basically everything else covered but these will fit a gap nicely.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

No, it was no louder but did make a bit of a droning noise as it wasn't able to draw in the usually airflow.
    It's a 2HP FM300 model.

Tools you have bought/want to buy feedback thread

You must have bought the same one we just did Cremulator Mate?

    https://www.carbatec.com.au/dust-ext...ld-code-fm-300

It’s a 2hp also with twin port 100mm suction pipes we’ll be connecting to two 100mm machines within 3m distance of the unit via this kit which includes blast gates:

    https://www.carbatec.com.au/dust-col...-85-5-39-22-cm

In theory I can’t see why the smaller 1hp model couldn’t work for two 50mm machines or at least having a second blast gate half open or full?

Until now we’ve just been using our Hilti concrete drilling shop vacuum with success but does fill too quickly now with bigger machines coming into play.

    https://youtu.be/PCmImKdOdas

It’s only downfall sound wise is that every 15 seconds it does a needed auto filter clean (thump/thump/thump) that echoes through the valley

Yeh that's the same unit with dual ducts.
My dad bought it over 10 years ago to use with a Carbatec CTJ-350.
I used this setup to make a work bench a few months ago
What that machine does to timber put me on edge every time I switched it on

Anyone who buys a Bunnings rain poncho is probably a bit of a tool.......... at least if they expect it to keep them dry! Haha.
