So you've been living next door to me and Mudski all this time. lol I'm in Thomo on the bundoora side east of Dalton Rd.

They always setup traps down on Camp rd at Jack roper reserve car park, right before Broady.
And the other one is on Pascoe vale road swimming pool. Large car park. They funnel and cram as many cars in there as they can then shut it off, and then they go to town dishing out cannaries and sherrif clamps, etc...

    Thanks for the info.

I am actually moving there next week as I purchased a house just west of Plenty Road so not too far but not too close to these locations either. My egr blank is on the exhaust side under the heat plate so not easy to detect. On the other hand I drive around with the check engine light on all the time. Never really goes off.

Has anyone ever been picked up for having the Dawes and Needle valve set up? Is it OK to just have these two connected to the engine?

Don't think so... I mean never heard of it.
I know the manual boost controllers are a no no. So, in a way Dawes and needle act as a manual boost controller.
I doubt they would know if it's tucked away and look like normal vacuum lines.

they seem to know what to look for
thin plate between housing and a catch can can be a dead giveaway

Yeah never heard of anyone being done for the Dawes and needle valve but they are technically an illegal mod. As the Turbosmart controller, or similar, is for the TD42's, and any other motor that uses them.

Exactly . They know what they are looking at . They aren't stupid. And at the end of the day if they suspect something and can't prove it on the day, e.g. don't want to pull it apart. They will send you for a roadworthy. Where in the meantime you can remove anything that's not meant to be there lol.
