    H233 GQ diff centers into 4.8 auto wagon IV

    Hey all, I've looked though for quite some time but can't see if the above will work?
    When searching I've read that the gears were interchangeable but unsure if the 4.8 was the same? And even better if I can just change out the centers.

    Thank you kindly.

    The Patrol rear diff comes in 2 sizes. The H233 and the H260. The H260 is a bigger rear centre, it will be detailed n your compliance plate which you have. If you have the H233 rear diff then Any centre will go in that is a H233 except out of a ute which have a different spline count. All the fronts are the same. GQ and GU are interchangeable.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Thank you very much MR
    Can you see which it is from the below. Sorry one more thing, when you say the feints are the same, is that the whole housing or just the center?

    You would benefit from fitting 3.9a or even 4.1s depending on your tyre size.

    The only difference in splines was the 260s I believe. As you had coil and leaf 260 diffs. All 233s are the same.

    Yes unless it has the factory vacuum locker. I believe there were a few rare gqs that had open rears but very rare. 4.11s are cheap and everywhere. Most common ratio for a patrol
