Spanner stuff
What do you guys keep your spanners in when you take them away?
I currently have them in a flimsy pencil case like thing which I don't think will last too long.

Tool Roll.
I've pretty much tried every option over the years, containers, spanner clips, tool boxs et al but IMHO a Tool Roll is easily the best
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

The blue flare nut spanner roll and the black roll with R/OE 6 to 24mm set plus ratchet ring flex set plus the ground down 1/2 inch WARN Winch Terminal spanner travel with me... the 6 to 32mm R/OE set usually minds the Shed unless it is a big trip away

Yeah i bought a Southern Cross Canvas Tool roll many years ago. before you could grab tool rolls from Super Cheap for very little. I reckon it is awesome. I have doubled up most spanner sizes and carry 3 x 10mm. It is very handy to have 2 of each size spanner. and they fit in the single tool roll fine. I Note that ET has double filled his too.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

.........
As above kindly mentioned, spanner rolls definitely pack betterer and also drape over guards/bullbars so much nicer than plastic molded kits on the go!
Especially sucks when idling vibrations unload your entire say ‘Crescent-Brunnigs’ plastic tray all over your wobbly donk roadside :-)

Thanks guys.
Have any of you bought some of those $10 spanner rolls off eBay like these:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AU-HOT-C...torefresh=true
I'm just wondering how good they'd be, just wondering if they'd fall apart in the first 5 mins???
You can pay $10 for those, then they go up to crazy prices for non eBay rolls.

They look alright... IMHO Canvas is the go...
So the odd spanner doesn't fall out, Spanner Rolls with a "tie strings" around the middle so you can tie the "waist" of the roll and/or sufficient material at the top or a dedicated flap to fold over the spanners when they are in the pockets prior to rolling are a good idea.
If those ones you got are OK and don't have it, a Tie can be added in 5 minutes with a needle and thread and an old boot lace.
My "Yellow" one has a tie and even double loaded have never had a spanner fall out.
The Blue Flare Nut roll gas both a tie and can be folded over.
The Tool Pro one is not Canvas ($20 at Supercrap RRP) and doesn't have a tie and the spanners can potentially fall out so I added a Tie to assist the Velcro Tag it came with.
