Can only get to the two outside fixing points on the controller but it will end up with two small bolts and a small dob of silicone holding it in place .

I'm still procrastinating as to where to mount my controller, the same Victron unit. I considered mounting it in that same spot, but was a bit worried about the heat it generates, and the lack of quick access should I need to get to it fast. Maybe I worry too much, but mounting it on my cargo barrier is my preferred option at the moment.

I had heard about this. Looks useful for angled parking.

What was the length of the strut?

From memory about 300mm and 100nm.

I'm sure that the in is on here somewhere, maybe in my build thread.

Bit darker than I realised due to the bright sunshine on the second day of winter.
Works a treat and is actually 'self-opening' now.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

@threedogs yes, rivnuts were used in the install. Good mate had just bought a kit so we did both vehicles at once.
