It's Big-O Deluxe Sliders day.

These have been in the shed for a month or so. Time to bolt them up.

The factory steps are bolted to the body and are for standing on, no good at all for protection. I was really keen to fit sliders for this build and considered making some but had a good look at the Big-Os and the mounting system is complex and laser cut. They are made from roll cage tube not pipe and have a "You bend em we replace them" Warranty.

They have a front and rear kicker which looks pretty swisho. Pretty happy with them.

Time now to get some headlight/front end protection on that touring beast to tenderise our roos pre tail kicking off wicked sliders

Darren maybe an optical illusion but are the side panels still inboard of the centre section of the sliders? What's the reason for the bulging and contracting shape, looks sexy but..".

The Front bar on it is all i will run mate. It is the Rhino Deluxe bar and is pretty good. No Hoops. I did consider the ARB Summit bar for a long time with Hoops but it is Heavy and the Y62 has a front axle weight limitation. I have seen a photo of a Rhino bar after a roo strike and the guy drove home. He needed some work done but he was not stranded and Insurance will sort out the rest. The axle weight is also the primary reason i went Lithium under the bonnet to give me some breathing space.
