Sounds like been too rich from 2014 remap then. Lot more knowledge out there now for doing ECU remaps. Your call, maybe a remap is a good option with correct tune.

Did recent remap (crd) does no smoke what so ever that is visable (3.1T-not camped up), run well (postal remap $790 inc post).

    UPDATE:
I had the Patrol put on a dyno today and I am happy to say that the news on that front is very good.
The lowest AFR was 18:1 during the runs which is quite lean. It also topped out at about 96 KW and around 370 NM at the wheels.
They will email the dyno results to me tomorrow (their printer was not working) so will get all the results.

This leaves the possibility that the injectors may be on the way out. They said it was not too bad at the moment though so will keep an eye on the smoke issue.

Maybe all it needs is a good long run flat stick to clean it out a bit, a bit hard to do,
maybe run some castrolT2 or injector cleaner through it next big trip,
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

The following are photos of the dyno run.

First one shows the power (95.6kw) and torque (approx. 344nm).

This shows the Air Fuel Ratio which pretty much stays between 18-20:1

AFAIK they can if for some reason they need to look.

For any factory updates all they do is just dump it into the ECU, no Dealer would be rrsed checking every vehicle thru the shop (not just Trols) so it would be every vehicle for non-factory remaps.

Chips are a different story... and for the record.. to answer the other Q, my guess is Yes
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

I run a DP chip happy as when turned up to 9 it billows black smoke ,so I dropped it back to 6 good power for towing no smoke.
plus I can remove and put Patrol back to factory
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
