I will try that ! any idea what the control is attached to behind the dash ? I am trying to remove the heater ventilation control .
Without having a breakdown ..... what a bugger of a thing to get out ..

right o . pushed and did the wiggle thing ..But
Any ideas what I might put on it to help any sort of spray lube ? its dam tight !! I don't want to break it .

The heater control unit has two cables running to either side of the heater box. Plus and electrical cable plugged into it.

Yeah mine came apart real easy. spray some crc or similar on it. It will come apart. Tis all fresh in my mind as I recently did the heater core r & r, full dash out job...

so did you take the heater controls out ? Mine has a bent cable . I believe . you have to take the glove box out to remove the control through the glove box hole ! I hat the dash thing .....
