Ok lads question obviously this will vary, so with 3 inch straight thru exhaust stock turbo gu black top what power figures can I expect on tune?

No inter cooler yet.

Unfortunately never had the pleasure of an intercooler either Drifty on our TD42T’s. 3” exhausts and decent tunes too have also been as far pimped ever. Does give better fuel economy and some say at best 20% power increase from stock although please do buy an EGT guage and drive your beast off that. Newfound power you’ve aquired mate will see your exhaust temps climb beyond 550C if hauling too hard uphills.

Oh yeah for sure an EGT is going in with new exhaust and tune wouldn’t live without it. Any recommendations for a place to tune the big girl at?

Worth considering a 4” snorkel system too mate to get that higher cooler ground air into your big old diesel compressor without IC. If money is tight they can be done for only a few hundred bucks if you check out AB’s build thread early days advice.

It does get a fair bit deeper than that mate and you are living within a State surrounded by the best of the TD42 builders.
Quite simply from what I’ve hopefully learnt is that crisper air in mixed with perfectly pressurised ratio fuel fast out = serious power.
My near stock setups have always found EGT’s somewhat 30% ish at least higher and power near 50% less of what could big dollar safely be achieved if you need mate!
