MAF cleaners
Guys,
Is there any difference in using a can of CRC Maf cleaning or electrical contact cleaner, other than the costs?

I know i will get flamed ... but everyone who says you must you the proper MAF cleaner really dosent do their research or is a panic merchant being bought by the marketing.
MAF cleaner, like the stuff they sell at super crap for $24 a can is just electrical contact cleaner
Dont waist your money on buying MAF cleaner - just but contact cleaner from an electrical store like jaycar - its exactly whats required to clean the maf and dries quickly and leave no residue.

For the coupla bucks difference in price i would just pay for the right product. Atleast you know its made for this purpose.
Some are willing to pay extra for mods but willing to cut costs on more important things. Do it once, do it right.

Well, chemically its exactly the same product, but a few bucks more because they officially call it MAF cleaner. I guess the marketing works, but not on me - I know exactly what goes in to both, and thees no difference. Its all contact cleaner. Its not made for purpose, its all in the marketing. The marketing is made for purpose.

Each to their own. If you exactly know what goes into each product, not sure how you would, and they are called different things then i guess you'd just buy the cheaper one.
But like i said for the couple of bucks difference id rather just use the right one. each to their own again...
