We have really soft pine floorboards in our new house, and the fella we bought the house off was an invalid, he used a walking frame to get around the house so there are wheel tracks all the way throughout. We will either have to sand them down a fair bit or lay something over the top, but that is all going to happen at a much later date!

Don’t bother with pine mate. Had it in our previous house. It’s a soft wood and just dints so easily, you will spend a lot of time, and money getting it looking good, and it will just look terrible in no time. Best thing I did there was lay an engineered floor over it.

Yeah all in good time. We have been in our house six years. part of the house still has the carpet that was laid back in the 70's with the edges cut away so we could sand and paint the skirting boards. We had the intention of removing the carpet and have new floor laid but, stuff in life gets in the way. So it simply has to wait.

So... I was lazily cruising around on Youtube. Lots of different things appear in my feed. I clicked on this out of curiosity. Honest.

I started to have one of those WTF am I looking at moments...... I almost feel ashamed to admit it. But I found myself smiling and enjoying the show.

Holy smokes I’m not sure if that was good or utterly terrible!? A bit of both I think. That was weird haha.

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal??

Guessing what you have now is radiata pine.
Classed as a hard wood but it is soft AF.
Watch out for high heel shoes. They will dent the timber..
Cyprus pine is a solid wood. And lovely grain..

That makes sense mate. But if fun trivia, but balsa wood is a hard wood too!
