Truckus and I had a chat about him being a bit of a Classified Under Nissan Truck today. He has decided to develop a dicky door latch mechanism, right when I needed to load a couple of cartoons of coldies and some scotches in. So some tinkering to do...have posted the issue elsewhere.
But that meant I had to go around the other side as was too lazy to unlatch all the rear barn door rigs.

Ever since the rebuild, the lifters have been noisy. Swapped the machined lifter carriers/cradles out. This carrier is 20 thou thinner, than standard so the hydraulic lifter are able to cope with the new profile of the ground cam and the heavy valve springs. So much quieter now.

Pretty happy with the catch can drain, should be able to rest a little empty Berocca bottle on the coil tower whilst waiting:

Mr MB were you told that catch can is only rated for engines up to 100kw. Not sure what the Golden oldie has had done to her but you’d be pushing the boundaries with it I’m guessing.

I think you must be the RB king mate . Is there anything you don’t know about these engines? Stupid question as if you didn’t know something you would surely find out.

Thanks, Mudski, but I can't take credit for this. The engine builder thought of it, I just swapped out the components.

Not sure what that equates too for a TD, but the that can is the Provent 100. 100 meaning for engines up to 100kw.
Sorta off topic but I sold 8 Parker units to a customer late last year. Each genset required two cans capable say to the equivalent of a 400kw engine. They were nearly 4grand each. These things were massive too. Had to fly them in from the US as well.
I get to see and sell some funky stuff from time to time.
