Vacuum is one of the harder things to keep. So it is possible the colder temps has brought out a defect in your system. You will need to check all connections. Even some of the capped ports that exist in the vac systems on these.
Was it an instant fault or progressive?

Cheers Mat mate, definitely started progressively I felt/think. Morning reversed up to the snow fire area to collect/stockpile wood for camp move next night and had to use handbrake to stop prior to a tree smash @ 1kmph :-( Unsure of the rest of that morning as brakes weren't used until back below 1200m snow level. Was warmer there and all was sweet until the arvo hauling logs back to warm river camp. Drive home was toe tapping Rev's up needed fun Monday :-)

Do you know what type of pump the vac pump is? You either have a leak or an issue with the pump. If its a vane pump the vanes might be sticking a little from possible corrosion from condensation/ice and the revs then throws the vanes out as rpm increases. Does the problem also effect the clutch?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Fitted a power window relay delay timer. Works well, but it doesn't work on the drivers window. Strange as to why. I pulled the relay out and the drivers window still works, but the other three don't. Hmm. I'm sure I can bypass the drivers window via the switch itself...
