    Electronic boost controller td4q

Hi all I have GQ TD42 with a kinugawa td05 18g running 24psi boost it goes fairly well but with the manual boost controller the wastegate suffers from boost creep. It has a 1.5 bar spring in the wastegate actuator and i can get 26psi with wastegate signal line disconnected but boost response is heaps better. So was thinking of an electronic boost controller for faster spool up. Just wondering what other people are running?

doesnt matter what controller you use if your getting boost creep it means the wastegate cant bypass enough exhaust gases to control the boost level corectly

No what i mean is the wastegate is opening way before full boost is achieved hence the reason i need the wastegate to stay closed until nearly full boost to allow faster spool up and to hold 24psi better

put more preload on the actuator, if it doesnt have enough preload then the wastegate can open up a little and cause slow response

I have the wastegate arm with about 10mm preload without the manual boost controller it only makes about 6 psi. So i might have to try one of there 2 bar springs in the actuator.

try a bit more preload, but it sounds like you need to get an actuator to suit your target boost level
