I know what some of you think of 4wd supacenter, but I haven't had an issue with their product only their lack of customer service and delivery times.

Drove down to the lilydale store on Monday and picked up a 2.5 x 2.5 awning, a side wall and a camp cooking stand/plate for $145.

Just fitted the awning and with no problems.

    12/97 GEE YOU
4.5lt Gas blower. Lots of mods to come.....all in good time.

I have a set of their drawers, picked up on gumtree brand new. They went in easy and work great.
I also got the awning and side panel. Took a while to get to W.A. but both look and work as expected.
I have their solar panel in the garage which I haven't tried yet.
It was a cheap way to get started and if I need to upgrade in the future so be it.

Some of their stuff is ok some not so much or needs a tweak or two , I have their drawers which for my GQ were a pita to fit but their new double thumper I recommend , also the awning mozzie mesh tent is good and awning seems just as good as more expensive brands .
Have a bit more stuff from them from ARB and from TJM , disappointed with the latter two more than supercentre .

Ok started the folding solar panel on the GQ today , first work out where the panels will sit bearing in mind I need four 10 litre jerry cans up top at front and a pole carrier and a chainsaw not to mention a bit of room for firewood so this was where they had to go .
Folding panel had to be pulled apart , used a bit of scrap ply under rivets when drilling them out so I didn't damage panel , getting the silicone and mastic off proved a problem also removing the regulator was a half hour job .
All off and cleaned up I tested how it would look and fit .
Now to join the panels I have used silicone , rivets and button screws , had some aluminium angle left over from another job so used it each side and a folding leg from the solar panel to brace , strengthen and join panels together .
Bloody connection boxes were higher than panel edge (see level) which meant a bit more working out but decided to put ali angle on the edge to give clearance .
Once that was done I had a brain wave why not make it adjustable so I can tilt it east or west , then I worked out how to , need to go to town tomorrow for some bits and bobs and will also show photos of what I come up with .
Not sure if all photos will send ok .
