How can an entire state be blacked out? I understand that extreme weather events happen and so on but the entire state.
Looks like being out till 5pm tomorrow. Lordy Lordy.

Major lightning strike in the port Agusta station has blowing the connections to vic as a safety feature..
So we're out..
It'll take a while to get the connections back..
They should just fire up the gas turbines..
But our gruberment has been rolling back all the infastructure so we have fark all..

Power back on. 9:15pm. Not too bad considering. 5 1/2 hours.

had to use power pack from patrol to watch tv and light

Major backbone / transmission lines knocked out probably. Considering the winds / hail... It can happen.
We've just been put on state of "alert" here in Vic. (I work on powerlines) .

Absolutely nothing... Storm lost the strength as we came to us.

Then it may have simply been all the major lines which are now bent like bananas.....
