Just very glad no one got hurt, Phil. I too thought it was an April Fool's joke so didn't post this sentiment.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

One thing is for sure I will be going lighter on the wiring with copper running at 16000/tonne!

After a number of conversations it really looks like the GU platform is a better fit. Engine bay is bigger, radiator goes back to copper cross flow and is a heap bigger than the GQ, looking for a 3ltr diesel manual with a blown motor not 2000/2001 as apparently these ran the larger dia diff which won't allow transplanting of the 3.9's with lockers, my suspension should be a direct transfer, approx 4K of Brunswick parts though but that includes radiator shroud, eng mount kit and jig and wiring loom. Will put it thru engineering again, with the will wood brakes and supercharger, hunting for a VASS engineer now

I saw one but was painted in that horrible textured paint and really spoils it that one above looks great though

Yeah defiantly not a fan of raptor sure its would be tough but looks crap and no turning back once it's on. .

Kinda wasn't a big fan of GQ dual cabs probably cos there are lots that aren't done well but if done right look awesome and would be pretty good platform for storage/ touring setup. . Definatly a balance between having too short a tray and ending up with bugger all storage or going too big and stressing chassis. . Chassis extension would be good for outback touring but PITA for Vic HC adventures. . Reckon that one above is bloody spot on

What year GU's wagons had the big pumpkin diff? is it 2000/2001?

Might be worth ringing Mr Nissan Philstar for some ‘spare parts’ division clarity on the GU H260 rear diff variants. 99% sure all GU DX leafy hauling utes were H260 big pumpkins and only a few wagons had them too, possibly the 4.8L powerful petrols on GU years unsure of but very possibly wrong?
