The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

If you look back through the photos you will notice in quite a few an Orange ribbon hanging off a tree here and there. We thought it was for a Dirt Bike trip or something. We spent 7 hours on the track for 13kms and got to near the end and came upon 2 blokes with HUGE back Packs Walking back up the hill we were coming down. They had 40lt of water in each back pack and they were walking it in to planned check points for an Ultra Cross Country Marathon happening that weekend. They could not believe that we drove through the bog holes...... Their Runners were going to Run through them..... In Both Directions as part of a 50km (There and Back) run up $1000 track... The participants would have Wet feet at the start of the race as they had to run across the river and then straight up the hill. Insane People.

Some of the Bog holes are Waist Deep, the Smart runners would run along the edge surely? Mad as a Cut Snake.

Can this thread be transferred to Trips & Treks - Tas? Had to dig deep to find it here in General Chat.

There are a couple of other trip reports I can't find now because they weren't put in trips and treks section.
