It's not for me roofy. It's for my boss. He is tossing up between a 4.2 or a ls1

LS1 will be cheaper if he wants the 4.2 to have some grunt. In stock form it aint much better than the RD28. But the LS you need an engineers, the TD you don't as it came out in that vehicle as an option.
Cost wise, I would say anywhere between 10 - 15k for the TD.

Low down torque LS1 v TD42? Surely the 42? Want a grunter TD42, want a rocket LS1?
TD42 nuts the 2.8 for torque. Or have I misread your post Marko?

yeah prolly not the best exlainin'. Just got lazy. lol. The TD has more torque for sure but I recently drove a stock TD and a stock RD. There was SFA between the two when driving them. The TD had more in it but not a great deal more.
