Absolutely LOVE Youtubey, Tit has taken McNuffy ME too long to work out that ‘Healthy’ olive 🫒 oils are SHITHOUSE on Cast Iron
Some sort of not fully understood oil heat breakdowns of 5W/30 Bananas or something
McCheapVegetable oil just made ME fall in Love with cast iron cooking again

FWIW: By FAR, the bestest way to “reset” cast iron is to crud clean & heat the absolute hell out of it, then during pour in 99.9C boiling water carefully
If tits quality cast all crud will lift and then Chief Tucker Fucker can ease on a newfound Vegetable oil “Non-Stick/Reset” for the AGES

Were having some friends over for tea tonight. I'm cooking steak. Went with the reverse sear method, which I'm a novice at. They still need to be seated but look bloody delicious.

What’s the reverse sear method? And by the way, nice to hear someone still refer to the evening meal as tea. As it was when I was growing up but now everyone’s gentrified to dinner. Tea all the way for me too mate!

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal??

Pretty much bake the meat between 90 and 130 degrees for around 45 mins then sear it in a very hot pan. For 60 seconds each side. It's worked well both times now so I'm going to keep sticking with it

That's a very interesting way to do it. Is 45 mins enough for such a big piece of meat like in that image?

    And the run continues.
Straight after we ate my mother in law had a severe case of vertigo, she's still in hospital with pretty severe head spins vomiting..

Ambos confirmed that it wasn't food poisoning.
