Wow this has been a long thread. 42 pages!
Anyways I'm the State Manager of a battery company here in Brisbane. We sell the usual car and truck batteries, AGM deep cycle and 2v solar batteries plus 12 volt solar panels.
As shocking as it sounds I have been doing this type of work since leaving school. Dad who is a bright spark ran a Marshall battery store from 1971 to 1988 till he started to feel a bit flat.
I have been playing with batteries for 30 years So you could say batteries are in my blood.
People often ask which is a good battery?
The answer is that they are like women or cars. Sometimes you get a good one and sometimes you don't.
    Cheers

Wasn't sure where to put this.
It hasn't made me happy nor angry.
Today is 18 years at my current job with 95℅ of it on night shift.
To put it in perspective, my eldest son is 15 and I've been married for 17 years.

Retired after 30+ years as a COP. It was a great career, but this retirement gig is the best job ever.

Unfortunately the way it is going, beside having a long time before reaching the current retirement age which I'm sure will go up again before I reach it, I won't be able 2 afford 2 retire so will be working until I am 6 foot under
Time is never wasted when your wasted all the time
