Yep ET that's pretty much the way I'm doing it just have to get my hands on a heat gun for the final pretty up .
Have found the original screws with a washer are brilliant and if I slot out the edging I can manipulate it for a better easier fit ,have left the test piece a bit longer than required both ends .
Once in place and I'm happy ,then to fit a mudflap that's functional but won't get torn off first ding it gets .

Yeah, I recall I used stainless penny washers but can't for the life of me remember where I put a couple of Teks (trailing or leading)... been too long ago now since my last GQ for my feeble alcohol addled brain :-)

Cheers ET , I've used cad coated washers using original screws but will have to put a few teks in just to firm it up but so far my only stuff up has been not to start in the middle ,I'll take a few pics when I'm happy but slowly getting there .

Both rears done and apart from a bit of a tweak here and there thought it wasn't overly bad till I looked at it from the back , mudflaps dont cover enough tyre grrrrrrrr.

33" x 12.5" , I do have a two inch lift but noticed yesterday she's sagging on the passenger side rear and the shocker looks like it's leaking so might get the spring looked at as well .

Those tyres came with good glue mate.....

    Your flare /
flap fix will do the job.

That Cooper was a gift I just wanted to check the fit , it will do as an extra spare maybe but I would run Hankook before I run Coopers .
My BFG's were run down and should have been replaced before my last trip , ruined two of them so had to buy two new ones in Katherine but alas the idiot told me they don't make BFG's in 33"x 12.5" even though I had them on the GQ .
So I dragged him out to look and decided to go elsewhere , ended up with maxxis razr mt .
