    ARB Bullbar Fog Light switches

G'day guys, I was lucky enough to win a set of LED Daylight running light and fog light inserts for the ARB Deluxe bar on the GUIV. I'm not too worried about the wiring but am interested in how they operate when fitted by Factory, dealer or ARB? Do they install a separate circuit or are they integrated into an existing switch? I believe the factory Loom is in place for mine which will be bloody handy but what switch does this run back to?

Mine is a GUIV ST. If you run an extra switch then a pic would be a winner.

    Cheers guys

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Hi Darren. Both my GU4s had factory fog light end plugs at the front of the car.
I cannot remember why but ARB , ran new looms and a new switch both times as it was an easier process for some reason. They didn't use a single bit of factory fog light wiring.

Im not sure how they should be fitted from factory or ARB but DRLs can be wired in via ignition so they're on when the car is on or via a switch.
They do look cool though. Nice win there Darren. I want to donthe same to my ARB bar but i need to cut out the section on the bar to make them fit.

Well lights are in and ready for wiring now. They look bloody good! I bench tested them and they are Bright as too!!.

Interesting Eric! hmmmmm that loom plug is right there damn it! would be great to use it! if i have to run a switch then its all good but would be keen to use what is there if i can.

I recently fitted a Lift pump and found an ignition wire under the bonnet so will use the same source for the DLRLs. Very pleased with the win. Stoked in fact!

@Yendor , sir, your input would be most welcome.

    Thanks all.

Anyone with a later model and the factory fog lights? where is your switch?

Well I'd personally run new loom as the gu doesn't have day time running lights you running wires regardless.
Id grab one of those push switches and wire in for the fog lights and then just fuse a wire of the engine running wire for the day time running lights..
    Cheers

Yeah wiring them up is easy enough but switch real estate is a little thin so if I can use something existing is a win. I think I will be out of luck though.

The DLRLs will be simple it's the fogs I'm hoping to integrate.
