Not guite.
Ive got an injury going from work that hapoened many years ago and its flaired up, the week before i left.
Unfortunately a mix of it never being diagnosed propperly and not subbmitting a claim back when it happened have made it a pita with work cover.
Had a vein rupture on my shin, noithing crazy but its from my work boots as the lace ups rub and pull on this area...
So over holidays i was battling work cover when i had service, only to come home to still no determination and work havent let me back on site as i cant wear lace up boots, and its not approved claim yet.
However..
I am happy wearing elastic sided boots, bit of room and doesnt rub and pull on the injury..
And the doc has given the ok for that to happen.
This happened the week before i left..
But its sites policy for lace ups.
But its also the law that a company must make reasonable allowances for an injured worker to return to work, even if the injury was outside of work..
The elastic sided boots still meet australian standard.
But a mix of past history with my super, boots, and a few other things has landed us here..

Legendary
Almost similar circumstances to me but different injury Westy, mind you the fact the boss (village idiot) said to workcover he was trying to save the company money didn't help their cause much .
