Just wanting to see if there is any interest from Y62 Patrol owners in having a decent sub option to go in the factory location. We are in the process of developing one for a customer in store and thought it might be worth making a few and chucking them on ebay.
Are you talking about replacing the sub in the Ti-L with better than the factory one ?, or making a sub enclosure to fit in "that" same location for the Ti ?
If the latter, what size is the sub ?, and where does the sub amp go ?, and where do you obtain the signal to the sub amp ? (eg tap off the rear speakers), and will you sell it as a complete kit (sub box, driver, amp, wire etc)
If you sold a complete kit, with a tuned box and matching amp to suit the 62s , all ready to go with some sort of fitting instructions, i could see how it might be popular, depending on cost of course, but some people throw crazy coin at these things anyway, so a quality product would be the main concern id expect.
There is another mod available, where a tyre pump + sometimes a air tank, gets mounted in that location, but to be honest, i think everyone would use a sub more often than a tyre pump (lol)
In all seriousness. The Y62, I reckon, comes with a rather decent sound system off the dealers floor.
But it becomes redundant once the exhaust is on the car and the windows go down... Those 8's sound sick under revs.

Yep. Even in my dunger I drive with the radio off and the rear LHS window down and just listening the whistling sounds of the Garret turbo.
Yes it didn't react well to my fist. So I replaced the crap chinese Eonon unit with a Sony or Pioneer or whatever known brand I bought, but I never use it.
We have tested these in both the Ti-L replacing the sub with a 10" Kenwood, and the same in the Ti as the bolt points are still in the chassis for the sub to mount even though they don't have the factory sub option. We have made a few now and we thermo form them out of 5mm ABS plasic over an 18mm MDF lid. Come up sounding pretty good considering the volume of the car vs the volume of the enclosure.
The only problem with having it packaged with sub/amp etc is the freight cost starts getting up there to send them out to people.
