What engine you got mate ? The top bolt on the starter in a ZD30 is an absolute slut of a thing - could see it from the top but 1,000th of a turn with a spanner, with it up on the hoist I could reach up underneath- 1 finger up each side just getting my finger tips to it , slow process 😤

Yeah got a 2nd hand 1 from Patrolapart for under $1500 Jay see , couldn't justify $3500 for a standard rebuild to $4500 for Race rebuilt 1 .

Started to put manifold back in last night , doing up the last stud & snapped it off 😳 Shit was about to get real , centre punched it , drill it out & knocked in an easy out & bugger me it undid without a drama 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 , so I retired for the night . Today I got a new set of manifold studs & nuts from PATROLAPART, put them in & the rest went back together fairly well , started it up with only the new dump pipe on it (thanks @mudski ) & it sounded like a bulldozer 😝 Me likey very much haha

Tore a heap of redundant wiring out and toughened up the loom so as to make it heaps harder to hot wire. I know it won't stop a professional, but it should stop a random theft.

Started it!
Poor old girl has been sitting for a long time. Wound it over for a little bit waiting for the fuel to come through and when it fired it went straight up to 2000 rpm and stayed there. Jumped out and looked to see if anything was stuck open on the carby. Nope all good..... Then hello d1ck head, I realised I'd left the plastic bottle covering the snorkel and have now collapsed the intake pipe between carby and air filter. Derrrr....
