Nissan 2003 TD42Ti Fuel Consumption.
I have done searches and internet trawling
I noticed on average its anywhere from 14 litres per hundred kms to 16.5 litres per hundred.
Unfortunately My one is the latter. Even after a dyno tune. My car goes much harder but seems like its still around 16 litres per hundred.
Idles fine. Drives fine. Starts up fine. Temperature is fine.
Am I miss something of is this normal?
Dyno Tuners said my injectors and Pump are in excellent condition.
What are you guys on average getting out there?

Are The manual gearbox ratios and diff ratios on the 2003 3 litres the same as the 4.2tdi?
The car has been converted using same year model 4.2tdi donor car
It was originally a 3 litre manual.
Was done professionally by the previous owner who owns a quality Diesel mechanic workshop.
Just giving much info as I can so any of you guys can determine if something is astray.

Not sure, my diffs are 3.9s (standard for a GU IV 4.2tdi) yours may well be different.

GU 2.8 Diesel = 4.625:1
GU 3.0 Turbo diesel auto = 4.375:1
GU 3.0 Turbo diesel manual= 4.11:1
GU 4.2 Diesel = 4.11:1
GU 4.2 Turbo diesel (wagon) = 3.9:1
GU 4.2 Turbo diesel (ute) = 4.11:1
GU 4.5 Petrol = 4.11:1
GU 4.8 Petrol manual = 4.375:1
GU 4.8 Petrol auto = 3.54:1
I wonder if he left it at 4.11
So does that mean Im revving higher at 110kmh? if left at 4.11? (if he did)

Different site specs
3.0TD Man 4.375 diffs and usually H260 rear diff
3.0TD Auto 4.375 diffs and usually H233B rear diff
4.2 TD Man 3.900 diffs and usually H233B rear diff
Could explain why higher fuel consumption
4.375 compared to 3.9
Next time Im at 110kmhs I will take note of my 5th gear RPM and let you guys know.

And if I do change rear diff ratio? I have an e locker on the rear. Would this affect it?
Also rather than changing diffs can I just go 35 in tyres?

Highway Its gonna suck lol
Time to get 35s
