Radius Fab air cleaner doing my head in ?

I purchased a Radius Fab air box and snorkel because of the good reputation of quality and recommendations plus it was made for a Gq to just fit in, well the box was delivered 9 days after it was promised because I wanted it before the Australia day long weekend and it was delivered today and it does not fit in I will have to shave a heap off the top lip just to shut the bonnet and the 90 d silican bend from the air box is no were near the hole in the inner gaurd but the snorkel seems to line up beside the safari snorkel so that suggests the hole.is in the right place any pics out the of the pannal box set up?

Forgive me for posting another forum's link, but one guy suggests you need to spend a lot of time to fit it properly. https://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/engi...edback-321873/

Did you get the round pod type or LS1 panel airbox? Looks like maybe LS1.

The link that mudnut posted takes you to lots of info on LS1 install.

Have lots of thread links providing similar info as I was looking at various options couple of months back. Main mod for LSI is to shift Aux battery tray if U have. Currently doing an install for GU CRD 4" snorkel and 4" thru airbox (design similar to Fatz 9" pod box). Some ideas that may be useful are in my thread:

Put up some pics of what you have at the moment.

Don't know how yet I am going to get away from shaving half my new air box lip off to close the bonnet and it looks like a fair bit has to come off it

Does it clear the radiator shroud/cowl?

Any pics of how it sits?

Could also try contacting Radius Fabrication, Richie's ph number 07 3245 4515 or contact via FB (Radius Fabrication).. They were going to send some pictures for GU/LS1 but never came thru, told me he lost all his photos on camera.

Makes no sense that you have to shave the lid to fit. Pics posted here will help. Have you contacted Radius Fab?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Yeah keen for some photos too mate, doesn’t make sense.

I know it’s the wrong side but would a few washes under the bonnet hinge be enough?
