Yes the MK1 version I fitted to my GQ did not fit the GU. (I bought 2) I waited about 3 years for the MK2 version to be developed to fit the GU series. Great bit of kit.

@Hodge. Look up ProDiesel Motorsport on FB, he may have them in stock.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Regarding the oil filter question I just cut the bottom out of a 1 litre oil container leaving about a 25 mm lip. As posted above I let it drain overnight then do the filters. The first time I did this super mod a mate snuck up behind me an tickled me nuts as i was precariously perched over the guard an I spilt the bloody oil everywhere bloody hell.

All jokin aside it has worked every time I have done an oil change.

    Cheers Gary

Last time when undoing the filters oil went farkin everywhere.
I was thinking this time might jack up the passenger side so the filters are as upright as possible to contain the oil within them? Just a brainstorming idea.

Here's the one I made from some scrap colourbond guttering. It's lower than the ones you can buy and has the offset drainage because of the bigger starter I'm using.
