Spent this arvo in town and was directed by a guy at Auto Pro to a bloke that services autos. I got there and found a South African built XY GT Fairmont sitting on the workshop floor.

Apparently the bloke who owns it bought five of them and imported them a few years ago. Apart from some rust in the bottom of the front guards, it was in mint condition.

They're not worth near as much as the locally built GT Falcon, so it is a cheap way to own one.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Years ago I seen a story about someone buying a property that had a large shed with no windows and a massive thick steel door and no one knew what was in it as it was a deceased estate and previous owner was a bit of a hermit with no relatives .
The new owner had to bring in specialists to to get the door open only to find the shed was packed with rare and exotic sports cars and classics , among the haul was quite a few of the South African made XY Gts , the photos were amazing .

Been playing around this arvo making a doll house for my 3y/o nice. It's nice to see easy progress from a few hours after work (at work) all up I'm going to use just one sheet of 18mm ply, it's huge. She'll love it I reckon

Met up with a fellow forum member to exchange goods.
Within minutes we realised so many parallels we shared in our lives.
    Another win for the forum.
