Congrats Nic. They're a bloody awesome car. We got a new forester last year and hands down best car I've ever driven in so many ways . Every chance I get I'm in it now!
I took it for a spin up the windy black spur not long ago towards Marysville ... It eats those type of roads for brekky !

100% mate, handling is great. Only thing I'll need to get used to again is the CVT, they make the car feel gutless although it's just that it's so smooth it feels like you're not going any where.

I've learnt to adapt to it personally.
And honestly , most of the time I drive it with steering wheel pedals and in S mode. Becomes very responsive!
The only thing that shits me up the wall is the auto stop start ... Because the motor is so quiet and it turns off on you without you hearing it . Then when taking off there is that delay and sometimes it was borderline dangerous . E.g. pulling onto a rd.
Having to turn it off manually everytime when car is turned on is begining to drain me.
    I'm looking for a permanent fix !

Got a official warning letter. Got pinned at 87 in an 80 zone. Admitted fault and no other fines in the last 2 years. Got off.

Haha yeah ok I'll have to look for the sports mode, there are definitely paddle shifts. As for the stop start feature, it's not an issue for me, we bought the diesel model, the stop start feature doesn't exist on it, even on the premium model which we also have lol. Happy days!

You should have a S ( sports ) & I ( intelligent economy) buttons on steering wheel. Maybe diesels don't have it.
