Agreed. The Australian grubbernment must not back down on this, which unfortunately they most likely will.

Does anyone know how much it usually costs for a Craptiva timing chain to be replaced? One daughter was quoted $3150.

Was that in melbun? My daughter was quoted for new brakes and rotors and $75 for windscreen blades. She came home for Covid. Me drives the car down to the local, wiper blades swapped on the spot for $15. Brakes looked at and tested and told all OK.

Alloytec V6? If so, is it throwing up a code suggesting the timing chains are stretched? Will indeed cost a lot if you answered yes to both questions!

She's test driving a Santa Fe as I type this. I told her not to make any decisions today. The bastards were asking for $500 dollars to "hold the car" for her. I wish I could be there to tell 'em to "NAFF OFF!"
They can't sell secondhand cars ATM let alone new ones.

She's thumbed her nose at the first Santa Fe and w**ker dealers, and traded in the Craptiva for another older Santa Fe at different mob. Hope she gets a good run out of it. I haven't heard much bad stuff about those Sant Fe s.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Somewhere in 2011 -13 Petrol. Try asking a technical question to one that buys cars 'cause there are enough seats and it looks shiney.
