Fusible Link ST MTR TB42
Hi all. (TB42 Manual 1994). I pulled the fusible link marked as "ST MTR" from the holder in the engine bay. its the black one (65A). I was attempting to trace some wiring on the starter circuit. To my surprise even without the fuse in place the car started no problem.
Does this seem strange? ... i'm not the original owner ... I wonder if it has been bypassed? I note that if I leave the ST MTR fusible link in place and pull the "IGN (IGN SW)" fusible link that is next to it the car (as expected) does not start. Thoughts? ... thanks

Page 12-16 of the Haynes manual, Starting System 1991 and later models shows a fusible link in the starter circuit of some models with an inhibitor switch relay.

thanks for the quick reply @mudnut. I will have to source a manual. does it sound strange to you that the car starts without the ST MTR fusible link in place.

It looks as if the fusible links are for the inhibitor relay.

I thought that it was only for autos, too. Check the ID plate to see if it came from factory built as a manual.
