Yes but the mechanism to lock is the same. Its not the actuation whether elec or manual of the lock thats the problem. Its the bastard internal workings that simply wear out

Is there anyway you can see,,,,,,,, to prevent it wearing out,
or just one of the DX quirks,? LOL
EG hold the linkage up with a cable tie etc,,,,,,,,,,,,,
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

No there isnt.
It can affect ALL GU's. The part number is the same for ALL GU variants

Maybe someone assembled it wrongly. I bought a brand new fuel sender for a Falcon once and it went from full to 1/2 back to full as some idiot had crimped both ends to the earth.
Try and get the supplier to email you a vid of another new assembly's movement.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.
